In this class, we will virtually fly or sail (depending on whether you are in better standing with Zeus or Poseidon) to Greece! We will then explore greek monuments, discuss their connection with the Percy Jackson stories, and solve puzzles related to the locations that inspired the Percy Jackson and the Olympians book series. This class is designed for students that have read and enjoyed the Percy Jackson book series. Through visual slides and puzzles, the instructor will share...
Students will learn about monuments and locations in Greece and make connections to the Percy Jackson book series. Additionally, students will use problem solving, creativity, and critical thinking.
Greek mythology has some more intense subject matter such as violence and death that may arise in discussion. I will guide the discussions away from these topics and only touch on these aspects briefly as part of the stories . If your child is sensitive to these topics please monitor their engagement in the lesson and be available in case they need your reassurance.
