Description
Class Experience
I will teach this class each week by starting off with some quick questions to get us recalling crucial details of each meeting's assigned chapters. Afterward, we will discuss figurative language, inferencing, and predictions, and the best part- what we think of what we are reading! Learners are encouraged to interact and engage with the text any way that suits them, though I will provide some tools and optional assignments to get the discussion flowing. Some options for assignments include:...
Students will build on their reading comprehension, learn to look at literature with a critical eye, and have fun in the process!
I can create assignments for stages of the book if requested.
A copy of The Last Olympian will be required in any form you desire.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
I can build comprehension quizzes if requested.
40 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 2 - 4 hours per week outside of class.
