The class will begin with a short music video called "Night Animals" to engage the students. The teacher will then read the Peppa Pig book "Night Creatures" and guide the students in a discussion about the main events as well as identify some of the night creatures that they see in the book. After the story, the students will watch a short video about nocturnal animals and then the teacher will read the informational text "Nighttime Animals." The students will learn that nocturnal animals are active at night and sleep during the day. They will also learn about special senses that nocturnal animals have to allow them to hunt and be active at night. They will also learn some of the reasons that animals are nocturnal including avoiding heat from the sun, avoiding predators and stalking prey. The students will have many opportunities to share their learning and ask and answer questions.

My bachelors degree is in History and English and my masters degree is in general and special education.
