Class Experience

I am a Pennsylvania native, having grown up in south-central PA, eating lots of delicious PA Dutch recipes!
Kitchen Equipment: - A sharp knife - A cutting board - A fork - A fairly large flat surface for rolling out dough - A large soup/stock pot and lid - A rolling pin - A vegetable peeler - A medium-sized mixing bowl - Measuring cups and spoons (specifically one teaspoon, 1/2 teaspoon, 1 tablespoon, 1 cup) - A stove top Ingredients: Raw chicken (The amount is up to you depending on the number of people you are feeding and how much meat you prefer. I will be using 2 large chicken breasts.) 8 cups of chicken broth (canned, boxed, or using broth/boullion cubes is fine) 1 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon black pepper 1 bay leaf 2 cups of all-purpose white flour + a little more to flour your surface 2 eggs 2-3 tablespoons water 3 medium sized potatoes 3-4 large carrots 2 large celery stalks 1 medium onion 2 tablespoons fresh parsley or 2 teaspoons of dried parsley
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
1 hour per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Students may need some additional parent help if they are not comfortable using knives or cooking on a stove top.
