If you don't see a class time offered that works for your schedule, please message me to see if I can offer a different time for you. In this class, learners will work on writing letters and/or improving their penmanship. I will give them a random letter/letters during class to write, and they will show me their work. I will provide feedback and tips on how to improve. I will also allow the other students to observe their classmates to see if they can recognize some mistakes and offer some tips. This allows for the students to interact with each other and observe someone else's work. When students focus on fellow students, they tend to pay attention to detail as they are comparing themselves to their classmates, which encourages them to try their hardest. I will give them funny little tips that will help them to remember how various letters are formed. Each week we will be working on random letters, or letters by request from students prior to class. This class does not build on the previous class, so students can join us for as long as they need to or want to. This class is for any student who needs to learn to write their letters to students who just need to improve their penmanship. It is a huge help if they can recognize their letters.

Hello. I have been teaching for over 20 years. I have experience teaching children from pre-k through 10th grade. I have a Bachelors Degree in Child Development and Family Studies, and a minor in Education. I have been married for 18 years. My husband and I have 3 children ages 15, 13, and 11. I currently homeschool our children, and have since my oldest started Kindergarten. I teach various classes and subjects at our local homeschool tutorial.
Since I homeschool our children, I have experience in all subject areas and learning styles. It's so important for teachers to teach subjects to all learning styles, not just one. In my classes, I use various tools and techniques to accomplish this task.
I teach various classes such as English, Phonics, Reading Comprehension, Math, Science, Social Studies, cooking, crafts, sing and learn, and much more. I look forward to having your child in class.
Just a little personal information: On June 1st, 2022 I had a kidney transplant and my amazing husband was my donor. During the summer of 2022, I have my schedule posted, but please bare with me as I navigate through many appointments. I feel better than I have felt in years. So I'm so excited to get back in the classroom. I just want my lovely students and their families to know my situation and I'm thrilled to share my story when appropriate.
