This is an introduction to penguins. Students will learn all about them--where they live, what they eat, what a typical penguin day is like, what penguin families are like, different types of penguins, and what penguins look like. This class will be very visual. I'll provide a coloring sheet of penguins for students to color in while the class is taking place (or they can do this afterwards if they wish). 1. Learn about penguins--what they look like, where they live, what they eat, how they behave. 2. Learn about different types of penguins.
Almost all of the photos I'll be showing for this class will be my own photos of penguins in the wild. This is not a sensitive or high-risk topic.
I'll provide a page of penguins for learners to parents to print out and learners to color in.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
