Description
Class Experience
Students will improve on their single crochet stitching, increasing and decreasing stitches. They will also learn how to sew a simple "Whip Stitch" to attach pieces onto the whole for a complete project and they will learn how to read a crochet pattern.
Students will need to complete some parts of the project on their own, this will take between one to six hours depending on their own individual skill and speed. Day 1: Finish main body piece Day 2: Finish all additional body pieces; beak, flippers and belly. Day 3: Finish attaching all body pieces if not completed in class. Day 4: Finish crocheting/ attaching scarf onto the penguin.
Medium weight yarn [4] -Red Heart is the most common. --Black --White --Yellow/ orange --Two additional color of students choice for scarf (optional) Crochet Hook--Size (pick one) 4.5mm, 5.00mm, 5.5mm US sized H, I, J One tapestry/ crochet needle for sewing on the loose pieces. Buttons or doll eye pins for the eyes of the penguin.
1 hour 50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
