In this class, students will learn the difference between an Emperor and an Adelie penguin. We will discuss where they live and what they eat. Students will follow basic directions to draw their own penguin with a direct draw. We will go step-by-step. Once that is complete, students will draw fish in the ocean around their penguin. Once their drawing is complete, we will fill out the word problem together to see how many fish the penguin sees in the water. For example: ______'s penguin has...
Students will create their own addition story problem based on the information in their drawings. Students will follow basic directions as we create a penguin and fish together. Students will use their artwork to complete their addition word problem.
