In this course, learners will practice one of the foundational skills used in Algebra I, applying order of operations. Learners will be introduced to the mnemonic "GEMDAS", which is used to simplify mathematical expressions.

Class Experience
Learner will learn how to simplify mathematical expressions by applying the order of operations.
I was a Special Education teacher for 9 years. During my time as a Special Education teacher, I supported students in 6th-12th grade math. Additionally, I taught Algebra I for 3 years.
1 file available upon enrollmentLearner will benefit from a quiet, focus oriented working space. Notebook, pencil, highlighter, different colored pens or pencils are recommended. I will attach a word document of class notes and problems. If parents need them emailed, please feel free to reach out to me.
The learner will complete an "Exit Ticket" to assess mastery level of applying the order of operations.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
