Students will sketch mommy and baby animals to make Mother's Day cards or gifts. This class will teach a variety of shading techniques to introduce concepts of value, shapes and forms, and how tone operates in animal portraits.

Beginner - Intermediate Level
Students will learn a different array of basic pencil techniques to sketch realistic animals. They will follow a step-by-step approach using basic shapes to sketch out an animal in line. They will proceed to discover the various relationships between the lines, shapes and proportions of the animal. They will then use a mixture of loose hatching and cross-hatching techniques to apply some dark tones in order to create the three-dimensional form of the animal.
