Class Experience
This class is an ongoing format. Students will sketch a new landscape every week. Each week is charged as a subscription on Sunday mornings. Students can join or leave the series any week. Teacher Allie May is a contemporary artist who loves to indulge in all mediums, but focuses most on drawing and painting. She is a graduate student in the BFA program at California State University Long Beach, and aims to pursue a career in teaching art. Her art influence began at a young age, but she considers herself “self-taught.” Allie is passionate about encouraging students to master the fundamental skills and technical aspects of creating, but also develop a style that is unique to each student. Her promise is to encourage a mindset where students are confident in themselves and their ability to create. Teacher Ashlesha holds dual qualifications in Computer Science and Graphic Design. Her scientific mind leads excellence in teaching meticulous details of techniques and concepts while her artistic passion reins in inspiring imaginative creation of all forms. Ashlesha is a contemporary artist who has mastered a versatile skill set in pencil and colored pencil sketching, acrylic painting and sculptures. Being a social media influencer, she is eager to inspire students with her life experience, personal values of creativity, love and imagination within art. Teacher Brittany is a professional artist and illustrator. She holds a BA in Arts with a concentration on Visual Technology. She also gained valuable industry experience as Technology Lead and Animation Instructor at art schools. She has worked as a freelance concept artist and illustrator in game design. She utilizes a background in comics, storyboarding and animation to bring creative concepts to life. With a strong background in traditional and digital painting, Brittany is currently teaching a wide variety of classes in various mediums to merge her love for illustration, painting and game development.
