It is my goal to creative a fun, open, safe environment for students to come, practice their social skills, and practice writing with an engaging journal entry prompt. Each class will begin with a group welcome and ice-breaker (things like fun facts, two truths and a lie, never have I ever, etc). Students will have the opportunity to develop a love for creative writing through journaling. They will also be able to socialize and make new friends.
I have worked both as an ELA tutor, as well as full time teacher for 3rd and 4th grade for over 3 years now. I also have worked part time as a freelance blogger for over a year! I am very passionate about writing as free expression and I hope to share this love with my students.
Please have a journal or a piece of paper and something to write with.
