Description
Class Experience
In this class, students will learn what mindfulness is, different ways to be mindful, and how they can apply mindfulness to their daily lives. Classes will be taught in a gentle and fun way using games, activities and stories! - We will begin each class with some fun and gentle yoga to prepare our bodies to sit and focus. - Each week, we will learn a different type of breath that promotes calmness. - Then, we will learn and practice different ways to be mindful through activities and...
Students will explore how using mindfulness can help them feel calm and focused in stressful situations.
I am trained in the Mindful Schools curriculum, a certified Childlight Yoga Instructor and a certified Sport Yoga Instructor. I have been teaching mindfulness and yoga to children for over 10 years.
25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
We will be doing a short series of gentle yoga poses, so students should be in an open space (enough room to extend arms fully in all directions). Parental supervision is requested if you feel that it is necessary.
