In this weekly class, students will join me and my Puppy Bear to learn the best way to take care of and train their small breed dog (25lbs or less). We will talk about things like vet visits, safe foods, grooming, games, bonding and more.

Class Experience

Students will gain the confidence and skills necessary to be responsible for taking care of their dog.
I've had small dogs in my home since I was born. I've learned a lot about best practices through study and research as well as hands-on experience in taking care of my own small dogs. I have 4 daughters whose ages range from 4-13 who I've taught how to take care of our dog Bear.
It's my passion to learn everything I can about small dog care. In my classes, I only teach positive reinforcement and relationship-based training. I'm working towards getting certified as a personal dog trainer.
I have a website www.pawsandlearn.com where I write articles about different aspects of dog care I'm researching. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions!

Students are welcome to bring their dogs to class with them and any current supplies that might be needed for that weeks class. More details will be given upon enrollment.
In the class about keeping your pet healthy we will briefly discuss spaying and neutering.

Disclaimer: I am not a veterinarian, and will not be giving medical advice only suggestions on how to keep your pet healthy and when they may need to see a vet. If there is any question or concern about your pet's health it's always best to call or check in with your vet immediately.

Parents are encouraged to always supervise and monitor their child's interactions with their dog. This class is not a replacement for proper training and supervision.
There will be supporting information shared such as youtube videos, or articles. I will also be providing printable notes and handouts throughout the course which can be compiled into a nice dog care booklet for your student!
