Are you ready to join Marshall in a special mission before time runs out? Students will love this interactive series where they get a chance to be on the Paw Patrol team to complete special missions. These are quick lessons to accommodate the attention spans of little learners. Students will have fun and not even realize they are learning valuable skills for preschool and kindergarten. In this particular mission, there is a cat stuck in a tree. Students will help Marshall get across town to rescue the cat by participating in a movement activity. I will show a number from 1-10 and students will practice number recognition by calling it out. Then I will call out an action such as hop and students will practice counting as they hop. Students may also bring a favorite Paw Patrol toy to share with the group at the beginning of class. The ability to recognize numbers is an important skill for preschool and kindergarten students. This “mission” activity will allow students to practice this concept while using their imagination. **After completion of the class, I will post a pdf copy of the town template used in class. Students can use this template to play with their Paw Patrol toys.
Learning Goals
Students will improve their understanding of number recognition and counting.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Texas Teaching Certificate in Elementary Education
I have a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Elementary Education and 11.5 years of teaching experience. I spent three years teaching Kindergarten and eight and a half teaching 2nd grade. Of those, 2.5 years were spent teaching in a virtual school. While I enjoyed teaching in a public school setting, I decided to become a stay at home mom to my children. Now I spend my time learning along with them.
My main teaching focus is geared towards early education and lower elementary. I feel it is very beneficial to teach children to enjoy learning at a young age. This will hopefully continue with them as content becomes increasingly more difficult. In addition to teaching younger students, I also enjoy doing book studies. I have been an avid reader since I was a child and would love to bring this love of reading to others as well! My goal for teaching is make learning fun through using games, interactive activities, children's literature, and arts and crafts.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, playing board games, reading and going on trips!
I look forward to meeting you soon!
