30 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
We will learn how to incorporate paws into 2 paintings, options are butterflies or flowers. You must have a well behaved dog for class. Class is made up of a 10 minute slideshow explanation with pictures and labels and then a student discussion. We will clarify which parts of the painting are done by the dog and which are done by the student. There will be about 15-20 minutes of paint time for you to work with your dog on these paintings. If students are finished, we will have a share at the end of class. My teaching style is learn by having fun! There is no required prior knowledge or art skills needed. Well behaved dogs that do not mind having their paws touched are welcome!
Learning Goals
Students will have fun and create a pawprint artwork.
Other Details
Parental Guidance
Parental Guidance is suggested due to the messiness of the class. It is suggested that someone else be around to help with the dog cleanup etc.
Supply List
A dog, large paper or canvas, pet friendly nontoxic paint, dog treats, paint brush, scrap paper or paper plates, cup of water, a tarp or space to protect making a mess, a towel to wipe paws off quickly. ***Washable body paints or finger paints will likely work best and won't cost too much. Tempera or water-based paints are also good as they tend to be non-toxic.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

Hello Everyone!
I am a Special Education teacher who prides herself on making learning fun. I have 10+ years experience teaching elementary and middle school, specifically working with struggling learners. I am certified in Orton Gillingham Reading and have been trained in Wilson Reading and Lindamood Bell, as well as various math intervention programs. I believe it is extremely important to get to know your students and differentiate learning accordingly. Not all students learn the same way and if they are not understanding something, it is my job to try and teach it in a way they will understand! I like to have fun while learning and encourage students to do their best.
To tell you a little more about me, I am a crazy dog lady , with 2 dogs and 3 cats. I love being outdoors, traveling, and problem solving. I do some dog training in my spare time. So basically I love teaching, whether dogs or children. :) Teaching new skills is just my thing!
