Do you like to put puzzles together? You can create your own type of puzzle called a Tessellation.
After our get to know you time, we will review how to take turns in the ZOOM class. Then we will go over the supplies list to make sure we have everything we need for the art project.
The learners will be asked to share their prior knowledge about how to make a repeating pattern, like - apple, pear, apple pear or blue, red, yellow, blue, red, yellow...The puzzle pieces we will make will also have a color pattern. Using the already prepared 3"x4" piece of paper, learners will cut out a small part then be given steps to tape the cut out piece to another part of that paper. This will give us our puzzle piece that we will trace over and over again on a piece of drawing paper. Once the tracing is completed, learners will color each piece to make a pattern. Learners are encouraged to share their progress along the way and share what they like about their artwork.
