I taught various math courses for Lone Star College System for 13 years, and I have experience teaching face-to-face, hybrid and online Pre-Algebra, Algebra, and Intermediate Algebra courses. In addition, I hold an active Florida teacher certification for Math 5 – 9 and a Master’s of Education – Curriculum & Instruction with a focus on Math 6 – 8 from American College of Education. I have worked as a Math Interventionist for several schools in elementary, middle school, and high school, a classroom teacher, as well as trained fellow teachers in Texas and Florida.  

As an educator, I focus on empowering students by strengthening their self-efficacy and motivation to succeed where they once failed or doubted themselves. In my classroom, you will find a student-centered environment with use of researched based strategies which includes writing within math class.
