Students will need to use what they acquire in class to practice keeping their dogs quiet.Class Experience
US Grade 5 - 8
Does the family dog's barking disturb your working and enjoying peace? In this one time course, we will explore ways to control and prevent dogs from excessive barking. We will also learn why dogs bark and the different barking behaviors. Teacher will present ways to extinguish or reduce excessive barking in dogs and puppies through lecture, slides and discussion. Teacher and leaners will discuss and trouble shoot ways to prevent such barking. Teacher will also model on demo dog. Students may try methods during the class with their dog. Learners only need to have barking dogs, but not really a requirement! They are free to learn about barking behaviors.
Learning Goals
Students will learn why dogs bark and how to reduce or minimize dog barking in their homes.

Parental Guidance
Teacher is an experienced dog trainer and has three barkers of her own. Dogs are unpredictable and this course is not a guarantee that it will prevent their dogs from barking or even minimize barking.

Teacher is an experienced dog trainer and elementary school teacher. Dogs are unpredictable and some methods taught in this course will not necessarily help their dog. We use only positive reinforcement in training our dogs.
