In this social class, teens and tweens will play games that adapt well to the online environment. Some games are cooperative; any competition will be light-hearted and all in fun. The goal of this time is to give kids a chance to come together with similar-aged peers and have some laughs and a good time. Games Available: Like Scattergories: Learners respond to a list of prompts and must write down answers that all begin with the same letter of the alphabet. Points are earned for any answer...
Learners will have the opportunity to practice sportsmanship, experience competition in a safe environment, and there are some critical thinking skills involved in all of these games.
Some games may involve use of paper and a writing utensil, so learners should have these available.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
