In this one-time class, we will celebrate the birthday of a pet, favorite stuffed animal, or doll through crafts, party games, and birthday-themed activities.

We will have a birthday party for pets, stuffed animals, and dolls. The classroom will be decorated with a party theme. Learners will interact with each other and the teacher through teacher-led crafts and games. The teacher will guide the learners in creating and coloring a birthday crown for their pet, stuffed animal, or doll. Then the teacher will play a birthday-themed game with the students by screen sharing a google slides presentation. The teacher will also perform a magic trick for the learners and their pets, stuffed animals, or dolls. The students will learn to draw a simple cupcake through a step-by-step presentation. The teacher will lead the learners to sing Happy Birthday to all the pets, stuffed animals, and dolls they brought to class. The party will conclude with the learners opening a prewrapped present for their pet, stuffed animal, or doll.
Learning Goals
Students will learn social skills involved when attending a birthday party such as group participation and taking turns.

Parental Guidance
A parent may want to help the child if the child is bringing a live animal to class.
A parent may want to help the child wrap the small present prior to the class.
Supply List
crayons and/or markers safety scissors tape 2-3 sheets of blank paper A wrapping paper printable available to be printed before class so that your child can wrap a small gift for their pet, stuffed animal, or toy ahead of time. (If you do not have a printer you can use newspaper, colored paper, or any sheet of paper.) A small pre-wrapped gift (using the printable wrapping paper) for your stuffed animal to "open" at the end of class.
