Do you have awesome Pokémon cards you want to show off? Come and learn with us! Parts of speech and fluency are two components of English that should continually be practiced, but often get neglected due to the many standards needing to be taught at the elementary level. In this ongoing class, we will review nouns, verbs, adjectives, and adverbs to create a different Pokémon-themed story each week. Learners can bring different Pokémon cards or toys each week to show off and use to help...
Learners will master the meanings of a noun, verb, adjective, and adverb in order to be able to come up with their own examples. Learners will also practice fluency and intonation of voice by reading parts of a passage.
2 files available upon enrollmentLearners can bring two Pokémon cards or toys to show off at the beginning of class and use to help them come up with words. Learners may print the "ADVERBS" handout to help with adverb examples and the "Badge Display Sheet" to draw their badge on at the end of class if they would like.
