Learn the fundamentals of argumentative writing through a Pokémon-themed language arts one-time class designed for students aged 9-13. #academic

Class experience

US Grade 4 - 7
Students will learn the essential parts of an argument and how to use those parts to create an argumentative essay outline.
I've taught in public schools and for a virtual private school. The one-time course is adapted from a lesson I did with my public school students. As for Pokémon, well, I’ve been a Pokémon fan since my childhood. I enjoy finding ways to incorporate Pokémon to help students access the content, and I believe students enjoy it too!
 1 file available upon enrollment
Students will need their worksheet to assist them during the lesson. The worksheet will be provided upon enrollment.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
This course covers academic arguments. A distinction between academic arguments and informal, heated arguments will be emphasized. The latter is not part of this course.
