Studying animal classifications, the body parts of animals and their life cycles is a big part of the traditional Montessori science curriculum. In this class we will start by learning the characteristics of birds while looking at pictures of different birds. Children will then have the opportunity to ask question and have a discussion about the material learned. After that we will talk about the life cycle of birds and place pictures of the different stages in order. To finish, the students will work on a parts of the turkey booklet where they'll color and write the names of the different body parts. I will post a file with the two pages for the booklet two days before class. It should be cut and stapled prior to class.
