US Grade 2 - 4
Does your learner love ocean creatures and fun facts? Is your learner fascinated by animal poop and how it impacts the environment? In this class, your learner will learn about some of the different kinds of parrotfish, their environments, why they are called parrotfish, and many more interesting facts about them. They will also learn how their poop becomes the sandy beaches in some areas of the world. They will learn what they eat to create this sand and a little bit about how their digestive systems turn it into sand. The class will begin by discussing what each learner knows about parrotfish and how they make sand. There will be slides with pictures and some basic facts that learners will read and discuss. Your learner will have the opportunity to discuss the pictures and the information and enhance their discussion skills. We will also be discussing some vocabulary words about the topic. At the end of class, the learners will review what they have learned.
