Class Goals: Foster fluent and natural spoken French. Encourage active participation and engagement in French conversations. Develop cultural understanding and awareness of French-speaking regions. The class structure: Greetings Weekly highlights ( learners are encouraged to share a piece of news ( travels, new toys or books, visiting family, etc) Class Schedule: Themes Bonjour, Paris! Introduction to French greetings and basic expressions. Imaginary trip to Paris with role-play activities. Learning about iconic Parisian landmarks. À la Pâtisserie Vocabulary related to French pastries and desserts. Pretend bakery visits, ordering in French. Cultural exploration of French pastries and their origins. En Route to Provence French transportation vocabulary. Planning a virtual trip to the Provence region. Exploring the beauty and culture of Provence. La Famille Française Vocabulary for describing family members. Role-play scenarios within a French family. Discovering family traditions in France. And much more! Materials Needed: A notebook for jotting down new vocabulary and phrases. An open mind and a sense of adventure! Class Format: Each class session will include a mix of interactive discussions, role-playing, vocabulary building activities, and cultural exploration. Students will be encouraged to speak and participate actively in French throughout the class. Prerequisites: This class is designed for advanced learners who are already familiar with basic French vocabulary and grammar. Prior experience in a French immersion program or equivalent language exposure is recommended. Pre-Requisites
This class is aimed at advanced to native speakers who are looking for a space to practice their French conversational skills. We offer French level 1, 2 and 3 for those between beginner and intermediate levels.
