US Grade 6 - 9
This class is intended for students that have taken some of my parasitology classes and already have knowledge about parasites. Each week, students will be presented with a different case study. They will be given relevant background information of a fictional patient and the symptoms they are suffering from. Students will attempt to identify the parasitic infection. They can work together and propose diagnostic tests or ask other questions that may be relevant. From this information, including the results of their proposed diagnostic tests, they will be able to determine the parasite. Once they have established which disease we are dealing with we will further discuss the parasite and how the students came to their conclusion.
