In this class your child will learn, step by step, how to write a complete and correct paragraph. We will use the parts of a hamburger as a model. It is fun, engaging and the kids learn that EVERYONE can be a great writer.

US Grade 2 - 5
This is a one on one where the students will learn a step by step method for writing a great paragraph. I will use a hamburger and it's different parts as a model for their paragraph. The students will review sentences first and then throughout the lesson they will learn what the topic sentence is, the conclusion and all the details in between. They will be writing about something they love, therefore it will be fun for them to get their ideas on paper. I use an "I do, We do, You do" process....
The students will learn and practice how to create a correct and interesting paragraph. They will create a topic sentence, details and a concluding sentence.
I have taught writing for 19 years from grades 1st - 6th, the majority in 4th - 6th. I have attended several writing conferences and workshops. Writing is an essential skill that has always been a priority for me to teach well.
