Paragraph Writing: Wings of Fire
Class experience
Students will enjoy this live class because we will discuss everything about our favorite series, Wings of Fire. In order to get learners to want to write, we need to pick a topic they are interested in. Once they understand the logistics of writing, they will be able to write on any topic. At the beginning of the class, we will play an ice breaker game discussing our favorite dragon tribe, our favorite dragon power and our favorite characters. We will use these ideas to create prompts...
Students will learn the definition and structure of paragraph writing. They will also learn all of the parts of a paragraph and why we need each piece to make a complete paragraphs. Additionally, students will learn how to write a main idea sentence and how to brainstorm.
Students should be familiar with the book series Wings of Fire by Tui T. Sutherland. Students do not have to have read the whole series, but being familiar with the first book or graphic novel, The Dragonet Prophecy is recommended.
