Wear your king, queen, or princess crown, and come to the Royal Review! First, we discuss what a sentence has to have in order to be a sentence. Then, we find out the history of the paragraph. Who developed the modern paragraph and why? What elements does the paragraph have to have? In this class, we will review how to write a paragraph using the easy system of using Green for the topic sentence, yellow to write detail sentences, and red to write the closing sentence. This is ideal for the struggling writer. I will teach the method, and then we will practice what we have learned. After we write the paragraph, I will show each learner how to improve their paragraph by adding detail to it. I teach in a relaxed manner. Prior knowledge: Your learner should be able to write a complete sentence and understand the first word needs to be capitalized and that it needs end mark punctuation. Some basic spelling skills would be helpful. This class is of the most benefit if your learning is willing to be interactive. Class rules: We mute so that we do not talk over each other, we are kind and respectful to everyone, and we raise our hand if we have a comment or question. As per Outschool rules, the camera must be on at the beginning of class, so I may verify the learner.
