Students can submit the paragraph written during class for individualized feedback.Class Experience
US Grade 3
Parents and teachers alike often notice that students have difficulty writing their thoughts down in complete paragraphs. During this one time class students will write a descriptive paragraph using a prompt. Class will start with going over the basic parts of a written paragraph: a topic sentence, adding details, transition words and phrases, and a closing sentence. Next we will read an exemplar paragraph and mark it up with our color coding to visualize what a sample paragraph should look like. Finally students will be given a writing prompt to write about. When they are finished they will color code their paragraph. Paragraphs can be submitted after class for individualized feedback. As this class is an inclusive learning environment. If you student needs any accommodations please let me know and we will work together to ensure that they have the best possible class experience.
Learning Goals
Learners will practice paragraph writing and with practice they will become more skillful and accomplished writers.
