This will be a fun, interactive class where students can learn to paper mache and use their creativity to draw graphics on their candy box, and then use paints to make the graphics come to life. Students will be led step-by-step through each process and I will be showing them examples of what to do as I do the project myself. Students will have time to ask questions. This will be a fun statement piece for your student’s room or a great conversation starter. NOTE: The box will not open or...
Students will learn how to work with their hands as they make the paper mache mixture from scratch and then tear strips to use and paste on the box. Students will also learn how to pay attention to detail as they draw fine lines and match colors to recreate their favorite candy box. They will learn to color match and possibly mix colors to match the colors on the actual candy box. They will learn how to work with a piece of art that is 3D.
The only homework that will be needed for this class is to finish each class’ work at home, if the student did not have time to finish it in class. I will make clear to the students each week what needs to be complete before the next class.
