Class Experience
Back in my day, paper fortune tellers - a.k.a cootie catchers - were all the rage during recess time. These simple pieces of paper told us our future - what we should eat for lunch, who we should see a movie with... basically like a manual "Magic 8 Ball." Paper folding (origami) has been a lost art, and less and less kids are experimenting with paper. Origami is more than just “folding paper.” It’s geometry, it’s fine motor skills, it’s critical thinking, it’s SO MANY SKILLS! While paper...

Students will create a paper fortune teller.
Piece of paper (I will be using printer paper in class) Scissors Pencil Crayons (or other coloring method)
35 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Students will be using scissors. Students should have basic folding skills to show success with this course.
