Paper is one of the most readily available art supplies around, and it’s incredibly versatile. Parental Guidance
Please ensure your learner has an appropriately sized pair of scissors for their comfort as we will be doing a fair amount of intricate cutting. I suggest a pair of small but sharp scissors.
The last portion of the 3D Paper Art project (July 26) uses a hot glue gun. Please supervise your student closely for this activity. If preferred, the project can be constructed with regular glue, although your student may not finish construction during class time due to the lengthened drying time.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello, friends! My name is Amy Sloan and I am an artist and a teacher. My degree may be in Photojournalism, but it’s painting, drawing, sculpting, and crafting that I adore and seek to share with art lovers of all ages!
My teaching philosophy mirrors that of the late, great Bob Ross, who helped inspire my own growth mindset by teaching that there are no mistakes in art, only happy accidents.
I currently teach arts and crafts in an after school/summer camp program for middle school students. I have further experience teaching jewelry making and illustration to both children and adults. And I am also the mother of a budding kindergarten artist!
I have been teaching on Outschool for over a year now and I love meeting new friends from around the globe and sharing what I know with them. I can’t wait to share all of my artistic tips and tricks with your student! Let’s make something beautiful!
