Description

Class Experience

This lesson will combine a step-by-step instructed engineer project of creating a paper airplane with mathematica skills on measuring and recording data.  Learners will get up and move around as they test out their engineered paper airplane!

Topics covered will include the subjects of science and math.  The structure will begin with the ZOOM meeting going over the classroom rules and procedures.  Learners will then be lead through a hands on activity.  Next, students will take time on their...

Learners will be able to engineer a paper airplane with the help of the instructor.  Learns will work through the scientific process by planning, predicting, recording and reflecting on a scientific activity.  Learners will use the mathematical skill of predicting and measuring to document data results.

1 copy of class worksheet provided to learner
1 ruler or tape measure
Pencil
Crayons or Stickers (optional to color and decorate airplane)

25 minutes per week in class, and no time outside of class.

Safety and privacy are our top priorities.  Parents should be advised of any potential hazards (including needing an open workout space, proper footwear) as well as injuries that can occur if not properly supervised.
