US Grade 1 - 4
This is an ongoing class where children will be able to explore and grow in confidence in reading comprehension. If your learner sees and animal that interest them - join for some fun facts at any time! We will explore the wild world of endangered animals, from the cuddly panda to the villainized vulture. We will explore amazing facts and share information. Children will read through passages and answer and discuss information - this lesson has cross curricular links between science and nature and reading comprehension skills. There will be some fun homework weekly too! Children, as well as learning about how amazing our planet is and the animals that share it with us - will be increasing their confidence in answering the following types of questions as we go along: * Factual * Inferential * Primary / main idea * Author's intent * Structural Each week children will learn about different weather or natural phenomenons as listed below: 30th January 2023 - The Wolf 6th February - The Panda 🐼 13th February - The Vulture 20th February - The Sea Turtle 🐢 27th February - The Narwhal 6th March - The Rhino 🦏 Join me this week to learn all about the magnificent rhino! Rhinoceroses are huge heavy animals with thick skin and hooves. Did you know that there are five species, or types, of this mammal. The rhino is a beloved animal but is also under threat - hunting has left most of them in danger. 13th March 2023 - The Gorilla 🦍 20th March 2023 - The Orangutan 🦧

In order to access some of the resources you will need to have access to Youtube. You will not need to have a Youtube account and the links will be sent through the. Outschool platform. Children will need to be supervised when watching Youtube videos,
