Class Experience

Come join me in this one-time class, as we create an acrylic painting of a palm tree. We will be socializing while we paint.
Students will learn how to create texture by using lines to create a palm tree painting. 
The class will be structured in the following format:
Greetings
Blocking out portions of the canvas
Painting and socialization
Virtual Art Gallery

Students will learn to use lines to create texture in an acrylic painting.

I have taught in brick-and-mortar schools for 30 years. During this time, I have taught all academic areas as well as art and STEAM classes for grades K-5.

No homework will be assigned.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

Students will be assessed informally throughout the lesson. At the end of the lesson, the students will be encouraged to share their paintings with the class.

45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.

Students will be determining some of the conversations that we have during the course of this class.

No outside sources will be utilized.
