Have you ever thought about what career path you should take? Not sure where to even start? No worries! In this class, we will be preparing for life after high school through career exploration. Students will be taking a short 60 question career interest survey to determine their career interest profile. The profile will identify the scores received in the six career personality types based on how they answered the career survey. Students will then identify the amount of education, experience, and training they want to devote to their future career options. After answering these items, students will be given a list of careers that match their personality type and the amount of preparation they want give. Students will have time to explore the various careers and engaging in meaningful conversations with others in the group. By the end of the class, students will have a better idea of the career path they want to explore.
Learning Goals
During this class, two learning goals will be addressed:
-Students will be able identify future career options and the preparation needed to achieve those careers.
-Students will expand their technology and research skills to enhance learning.

Parental Guidance
During this class we will be using the website mynextmove.org. My Next Move is a career exploration site that is intended to help students discover various careers. Students do not need an account to use the site. Students will complete the short personality survey on the same website and will not be leaving the mynextmove.org website for this class.
Pre-Requisites
Learners do not need to have any prior experience, however, the class is interactive and requires learner participation. Learners that have difficulty engaging in class, may struggle with this class format.
