In this class, students will learn the basic steps to a DIY, at-home French manicure. For this fun class, students will be led through each step of the nail painting process (base coat, polish, top coat). We will start off by sharing some tips and tricks that can be used to make painting one's nails easy and fun. Students will have the opportunity to engage in social conversation while following each step of the process with the teacher and, in the end, be more confident in their nail painting skills. Before beginning the class students should remove any nail polish currently on the nails in order to begin with a clean canvas.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello! I'm Jessica (Jessi) Traina. I am a graduate of Western Governor's University with a Bachelor's in elementary education (K-6). I have been working in the public school system (elementary) for 10 years now.
I started as an ELL or bilingual para working with fourth grade Spanish speaking students. I then worked with Kindergarten for a few years while earning my degree. Finally, after finishing school I had the privilege of being hired on by the principal and have been working at the same school for 9 years. I have taught 3rd grade and have been teaching 4th grade for the last five years, teaching all subject areas. I love language arts and getting students to get excited about reading and teach them how fun writing can be! Like many educators, I have a true passion for teaching! I love working with children and inspiring them to become the best version of themselves. I believe in creating a learning environment that is fun and safe for all learners and creating an environment where students feel they are truly part of a classroom family where they are supported, uplifted, and encouraged, not just by me but by their peers as well.
I'm a cat lover and love being out in the sun. I enjoy spending time with my son and husband taking walks, enjoying the pool, and having fun in our beautiful Florida beaches. We love to take road trips and enjoy "food adventures" trying out new places every month.
I'm excited to be here and look forward to seeing your child in the classroom!
