Painting With Meg: Watercolor Animals!
In this on-going class, students will learn how to watercolor animal illustrations! Let Miss Meg know which animal you would like to paint at the start of class, and as a group we will play with watercolor paints and share our creations!

Description
Class Experience
Students will broaden their knowledge of watercolor painting - including techniques, tips and tricks, and color blending. Students will be encouraged to think creatively, and teach the teacher if they choose to share their own ideas! They will gain self confidence in themselves and their art, which helps with so many other aspects in life, too. We will also learn more about animals while we study them closely (via images!) to produce creative imagery inspired by them.

-Watercolor paper -Watercolors (any kind are okay, crayola's work fine while students are learning about the medium!) -a jar of clean water -a few paintbrushes, different sizes if available We will occasionally practice creating texture with salt on the water - it creates beautiful effects if sprinkled over wet watercolor paint. Table salt works okay sometimes, but I've found that rock salt, or "marg" salt works best. If you don't already have some, this is completely okay! Students will be able to watch the process during my demo and can recreate at another time. I will send an email if anything else is added to this list!
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
