Class Experience

In this one time class, students will be introduced to and learn their colors through a painting activity using their toy truck or car. We will go through the colors together as a class using flashcards. After we go through our colors, students will get an opportunity to share their toy cars or trucks. We will then start our painting activity. Students will dip the tires of their toy vehicle into paint and create vehicle tracks on paper. We will talk about what colors we see, what new colors come from different colors being mixed together, and what everyone's favorite color is. Students will then be able to share their paintings with the class if they would like. My goal is to always create a safe and welcoming learning environment for your little one to feel comfortable and have fun. Students will need to have a small toy truck or car made of hard plastic or similar material that can be dipped into paint, a piece of paper (preferably cardstock or construction paper as they are thicker and will withstand the activity a bit better), paper plate for paint (or something to put the paint on so child can dip their car in it), and paint (washable and non-toxic)! Hope to see you there!

Please note: If there is too much background noise (parents or siblings talking, pets, vehicles outside), I may mute your student. I will ask them to unmute themselves when it is time for interaction and activities. I do this to make sure all of the students can hear the lesson and enjoy! Thank you so much for understanding!

Ciao a tutti! My name is Ms. Feli and I am excited to meet you!

I was born in Trieste, Italy and moved to the United States with my family when I was nearly 5 years old. I grew up in a bilingual household where both American and Italian cultures and traditions were considered very important, as well as learning about, and embracing new cultures. As an adult, I've continued expanding my knowledge on different cultures, languages, and traditions by traveling all over the world and living abroad with my husband. I have lived in Italy, Turkey, Japan, Guam, and of course- the U.S.A. I currently reside in Texas with my amazing husband, two loving & energetic sons, two adventurous tortoises, and our sweet pup.

I will be offering Italian introductory lessons for young children, as well as other courses that will help little ones explore their creative sides!

As a stay at home mom, I am constantly trying to find ways to help my sons learn and explore through play. I will have various lessons with activities that will work on enhancing your child’s fine motor skills, sensory development and knowledge of introductory preschool material.

I truly believe that children learn best through conversation and play, so my classes will be inviting, light and inclusive. We will play games, do group activities and discussions, and some sort of art activity. I use several props to engage the children in the lesson, and will encourage them to participate if comfortable.

I have my Bachelor's in Human Services with a concentration in Clinical Services from the University of Delaware. Originally, my plan was to become a social worker. However, I have come to realize that my true passion is being able to be a stay at home mom. Also, learning English at such a young age has shown me just how important it is for children to be exposed to different languages at a young age. I hope to get to meet your little ones!
