Each week, young artists will follow along with a guided lesson to create a beautiful drawing or painting. We'll begin class by helping to tell a story! Students will act out parts of the story along with the teacher; we'll make faces, sound effects, and actions so the narrative is interactive and fun. Then, we'll draw part of the story together in crayon! Step-by-step instructions will be demonstrated onscreen-- but students are always encouraged to exercise their creativity and make...
Students will learn and practice basics of drawing and painting such as: caring for your paintbrush, color mixing, how to use paints, blending colors, drawing animals, drawing people, overlapping, drawing patterns & textures, making your artwork look 3D, and much more!
I have been a classroom teacher for students young and old for many years, and I love inventing fun projects for my artists-in-training! This class was suggested to me by my 4-year-old niece. She loved taking art classes, but her family couldn't find a class in their area that would allow her to paint, which is all she really wanted to do! This class is for creative young artists who want to experiment with different art materials, but also want a little guidance to make beautiful artworks.
Students may wish to continue working on their artwork after the class session ends.
