In this ongoing class students will learn how to draw and paint a different sea creature each week. In this class we will practice using two watercolor techniques: crayon resist and salt. Students will follow along with me, step by step, to first draw the animal with a pencil, add white crayon, paint it, and add salt. These techniques will make beautiful and unique artworks! Students will learn about shapes, color, and animals of the sea! No prior experience is needed.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I will be teaching a range of art classes for young artists that want to have fun and teen artists that are more serious about their artistic skills. I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts in painting and a minor in art history, as well as 2.5 years of classical realism atelier training. I am a full time professional artist and I love to teach! I have been teaching children and adults for the past 5+ years. I believe that having as much artistic training as you can early on will benefit your professional career as an artist. When I'm not painting and teaching, you will find me outside in the mountains. I love to go hiking, camping, and skiing. You might even catch me with my easel outdoors!
