In this ongoing class we will express the beauty of birds through painting. In each class, we'll discuss interesting facts about each bird, sketch the bird using geometric shapes and then paint the bird using various painting techniques.

Description

Class Experience

Birds have fascinated artists, poets, and scientists since the beginning of time. In this class we will learn interesting facts about different types of birds from a variety of habitats. Then will sketch the basic form of the bird using geometric shapes and paint them using either watercolor, tempera or acrylic paint. Students will create a watercolor/colored pencil painting of a bird.
Students will sketch bird using geometric shapes.
Students will paint bird utilizing a variety of watercolor paint techniques including: wet-on-wet wash, wet-on-dry, lines.
