Painting as Kandinsky With the Geometry of Human Soul

In the classroom we will learn the incredible style of the international artist Wassily Kandinsky. Born in Russia, studied in Germany lived in France and very popular in US. His artworks can be seen in Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum and many other modern art museums. Biomorphic forms with supple and geometric outlines appear in his paintings—forms which suggest microscopic organisms, but express the artist's inner life. Kandinsky used original color compositions, evoking Slavic popular art. He also occasionally mixed sand with paint to give a granular, rustic texture to his paintings. But he also uses a lot of geometrical shapes to explore the human soul such as circles, lines, squares and triangles.
In this class I will teach a simple composition drawing real or similar to drawings of Kandinsky. Start with lines and filling in with colors as bright as the Artist created them in his artworks.
Some painting skills will be helpful as we will follow an artistic style of a famous artist.
