Description
Class Experience
Students will learn the meaning of "close-up view", how to distinguish a watercolor brush from other types of paint brushes, and a technique to use markers, water and watercolor brushes to create the look of a watercolor painting.
No homework will be assigned but you child may continue to work on his or her painting for a few minutes after our class if more time is needed to finish. Also, this is such a fun method, and students may just want to experiment with more paintings after class.
Pencil & eraser Watercolor Paper Preferred (9" x 12" or 8" x 10") A Set of Broad Tip Water Based Markers (Not Permanent) in your Preferred Brand but Crayola if possible Water in a Cup, Can or Jar A few watercolor brushes (Big, Medium and Small sizes) (Crayola makes an inexpensive set with plastic handles if you don't already have some.) Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
There will be no formal assessment; however, we will show each other our artwork during class as well as our finished painting and celebrate and encourage each other.
