This fun class is a great introduction to a variety of art concepts such as the color wheel, color theory, watercolor techniques and categories of art while learners create imaginative and unique creative art! Our first meeting will begin with an introduction to Realistic, Abstract and Non-Objective Art and a variety of artists such as Georgia O'Keeffe, Van Gogh, Picasso, Kandinsky and Frank Stella. 1st Meeting: 1-3 sheets of heavyweight drawing paper or watercolor paper, 1 sheet of extra paper for practice, glue bottle (NOT glue stick), watercolor paint set, brushes, water cup, paper towel or napkin 2nd Meeting: Papers with glue lines from previous meeting, watercolor paint set, brushes, water cup, paper towel or napkin
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
1 hour 30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
