Class Experience
In this one time class, we will work on a beautiful spring painting inspired, using acrylic paints ans some fun techniques with Qtips to create texture and shading. The class will start with introductions, followed by a simple drawing, so make sure to have a pencil and eraser handy. This will be followed by step by step, guided , paint along instructions with enough room for creativity an personal touches. This will be a fun class and will end with a beautiful artwork worthy of a gallery...
The supplies you will need for this project are Canvas or Canvas paper or mixed media paper...but size should not be too big. Best size is . 11x 14" and 9 "X 12" Size for younger or beginner artists. This will allow the class to maintain a good pace and will ensure success for all. -Pencil and eraser -Acrylic Paints- different assorted colors- and at least- Black, White, blue any shade but nothing too dark, , green-Dark and light , orange, red , If you want to paint your flowers a different color, you can optionally keep pink/Purple if you like. Brushes - at least 3 types- 1 thick Flat brush, 1 Medium Brushes ( 1 Round or Flat) and 1 thin round brush. You can have more brushes if you like. Palate, or paper plate to mix or pour paints Water Cup to clean brushes with Rag or paper towels to wipe the brushes with Flat surface covered with old paper etc. to keep surface clean Special Supply- Please also keep 4-5 QTIPS for this painting. We will use this to learn how to paint an important part of the painting.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
