Class Experience
This class works best for kids who have some painting experience and are not panting for the very first time In this 1 time class, we will use acrylic paints to make a fun , beautiful holiday painting of a snowman under a beautiful sky inspired by the famous artist Vincent Van Gogh. The class will start with a very quick and short introduction to Vincent Van Gogh and looking at his famous Starry Nigh painting. Taking this as our inspiration point, we will start with directed drawing, so...
Canvas Size -Nothing too big- ;Like 9x11 or 11x14 canvas size. Given the various details involved, this size of canvas allows everyone to maintain a good pace, and be successful in completing the painting comfortably and successfully. Acrylic Paints" White Blue- like primary or cobalt blue Yellow-like bright or cadmium yellow or lemon yellow Orange Green- any shade Black Some red Brushes : 1 Flat Thick brush to paint the background. Size like 12, 14 or 16 Medium Round brush like a size 8 or 10 Small Detail round brush like a size 2, 3 or 4 Bowl of water Rag or paper towel Palate or paper plate Pencil and eraser
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
1 hour 10 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
