Description
Class Experience
Students will learn how to paint a simple lake scene using acrylic paint and minimal supplies in 45 minutes. Class time will be spent following along with me as I paint and talk them through a hands-on learning experience. No prior art expertise is needed for this beginner painting as students will learn to be resourceful by mixing primary colors and using only a few brushes/sponges. This is the perfect project to learn foundational blending skills and to become familiar with a user-friendly...
- A cup or jar for water - Paper towels or newspaper - Palette for mixing paint (something with sections to allow for easier mixing) - 9x12 canvas paper or acrylic paper (available at art supply stores) - Acrylic paint: black, white, blue, yellow and red - Assorted foam brush set or at least one circle foam brush (available at art supply stores) - 2 inch brush *supply list with links to supplies available upon request
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
